First off, I'm elated that SD would honor such a black history icon.
You must be white? All the info in the world about Rosa Parks and you couldnt take a minute and do real research? Rosa Parks is from the Civil Rights movement in the 60's, it has nothing to do with slavery dumb ass and furthermore, if Rosa was alive today she would be the first to tell you, she never meant for any of what happen to explode, she was just to tired to get up and move to the back of the bus. Thus, she was put in jail and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. took it from there and launched a citywide bus boycott and no black people rode the buses for over a year. The city lost so much money they had no choice but to lift the segregated bus system. All because one person kept her seat.
This means anyone from 1 to 99 can make a difference and in the great words of Malcolm X...
IF YOU DONT STAND FOR SOMETHING... YOU WILL FALL FOR ANYTHING!

Serena, I'm also very happy that Rosa Parks has become as role model on Stardoll. I very recently learnt about her for my GCSEs, and I have to say that diva_always is right. It was during the civil rights movement, but I thought your post was very well written :]

Thanks for posting such an inspirational post! I've learned about Rosa Parks throughout my schooling and was also very excited to see she had become a rolemodel. Thanks for taking time of gossip and writing about the things that really matter.

I only have one correction and apology in what I said in my previous post. "You must be white" was uncalled for and believe it or not alot of young black people don't know what Rosa Parks stood for. So sorry about that because it really doesnt matter what your race is, it's about making a difference.

To Diva_always,
It is ok and I will paste your history of Rosa Parks and give you full credit. I am white but like you said it doesn't make a difference. I don't know a lot about her and to be honest, I was taught it when I was 14, so it's hard to remember all the details.

Thanks for reading though. x
